Guest Services Team
Our mission: grow God's kingdom through every first encounter, replacing anxiety with a genuine sense of belonging.
The First Encounter team is the first face a guest sees when they walk through our doors. We exist to make sure that every single person who walks in, whether it's their first time or their hundredth, feels seen, welcomed, and valued before the service ever begins.
We greet every person who walks through the door with genuine warmth. For first-time guests, we go a step further, introducing ourselves and making sure they feel at home right away.
We walk guests through the essentials, restrooms, coffee, kids registration, and hand them a church brochure so they leave with something to take home.
We sit with guests who are alone, introduce them to others, and make sure no one feels like a stranger. The goal is simple: make them feel like they came with a friend.
After each service we man the Visitor Tables in the lobby. Guests are directed to find us by our green lanyards to ask questions, get connected, and learn more about the church.
We serve both Sunday morning services and rotate on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule to keep every team member energized and prevent burnout. Your off Sundays are yours to worship freely.
Team members are assigned to one or both services based on availability. Your team lead will confirm your assignment.
Volunteers are split into Team A and Team B, alternating on a two-week cycle throughout the month.
If you have a preference for a specific team or service time, just let Rich or Bitsi know and we'll do our best to work with your schedule.
We'd love to have you on the team. Reach out to Rich or Bitsi with any questions, or jump straight into the training resources to see exactly what serving looks like.
